Well... I must admit visual art isn't quite my forte yet, but I am working hard and getting more inspired than I ever have. Music is my number one passion, and probably always will be, but I've always been intrigued by visual art. Up until relatively recently, I never thought I had it in me to be a good painter or artist, even though it's something I've always wanted to do (at least a little bit). I'd always take art classes, not really sure why since I always found myself not knowing what to draw, but I did it anyway.
Well, a few months ago, an Angel and I crossed paths. This Angel let me in her life (which still blows my mind... I can't be more grateful for that), showed me her art, and asked to see some of mine one day. Well... I was nervous. I hadn't shown anyone my art. Insecurities about my skill and my style had always stunted my growth as an artist. But I showed her some stuff I did in high school art classes... To my deepest surprise, she told me how good she thought it was. Ever since, she's been nothing but encouraging to me with art, and it's because of that encouragement that I'm here on deviantART - that I'm even drawing at all, trying at all to expand whatever talent I may possess.
With that, I want to publicly thank my Angel, McKenna Powell, for her unyielding encouragement and support, and for (at least it seems like) enhancing my creativity continually to a higher and higher level. You really bring out the best in me.
Well... As I've made clear, I'm really quite new at this art thing, so I don't have much to post just yet. But, my God... I've never been so inspired in my life. I have myriad ideas flying at me, and I'm going to make the best representations of them I possibly can. Art is for everyone, and it's my sincere hope that when I do start posting things, since there is definite meaning in each of my ideas, you'll be able to see something you never have in a way you've never thought of before and to take it within you to heal some aspect of your life. We have the power to bring each others' creativity up, not to mention the Spiritual impact that comes simply from looking at a beautiful piece of art. So... when I do start getting stuff posted, give me some honest feedback! I love hearing about what people think about my art, my writing, and my music.
